Where a spreadsheet wins

A spreadsheet starts faster, costs nothing extra, and almost every team member already knows how to use one. For a one-truck operator in the first season, that may be exactly the right tool.

A spreadsheet is also more flexible than any structured database — new columns appear by typing. That flexibility is real and not to be dismissed.
