Documentation generation
Every operation produces a PDF service proof with GPS track, weather data, photos, timestamps, and a reference to the immutable audit log entry.
Compliance
Wintertrace produces operational records that can support compliance work and liability documentation. It is not a certificate. It is not legal advice. This page describes — carefully — what the software does and what it does not.
Concrete capabilities that exist in the current core software.
Every operation produces a PDF service proof with GPS track, weather data, photos, timestamps, and a reference to the immutable audit log entry.
Independent weather provider data and driver photos are bundled with the GPS track in a single PDF — not three separate exports stitched together.
GPS data is locked after operation end. All edits to operation data are logged. Driver consent acknowledgements are stored immutably with timestamp.
Anonymisation of driver data after employment ends, configurable retention periods per data category, and full data export in CSV and PDF.
Being explicit about the boundary protects you, and protects the project's credibility.
Realistic use cases — not legal promises.
A bundled, timestamped record of when service was performed, what the weather was, and what was photographed on site.
A searchable archive of operations per customer, per driver, per shift — independent of memory and paper logs.
Customers see their own operations and can download their PDFs. No phone call or email chain needed to answer "did you come?"
Shift starts and ends are captured automatically and can be exported to CSV for payroll workflows.
Roadmap
Different jurisdictions have different requirements. A module concept is part of the long-term plan — none of these modules are available today.
Country-specific compliance modules — for example, modules tailored to documentation needs in Germany, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Austria, or Switzerland — are part of the roadmap. They are not available today.
Wintertrace provides documentation support. It is not a substitute for legal advice. Specific compliance assessments should be made in consultation with qualified counsel in your jurisdiction.
Insurance, court admissibility, and regulatory framework conformity depend on factors specific to the case, the operator, and the local legal system — none of which a software product can guarantee.
