Photos with the context attached

Driver photos travel with the operation: timestamped, geo-referenced, and embedded directly in the PDF service proof. Useful for showing before-and-after states of a walkway or driveway.

How photos work

Six constraints, all fixed by the software so the driver never has to think about file sizes at four in the morning.

Maximum per operation
Up to five photos per operation.
Source
Live capture in the driver app or upload from existing files.
Stored size
Original scaled to a maximum of 1920 pixels on the long edge.
Thumbnail
Generated automatically at 300 pixels.
Stored metadata
Timestamp · operation GPS fix · driver · operation reference.
Optional overlay
Burn-in overlay with timestamp, GPS coordinates, and operation info — configurable per installation.

Illustrative rows. This is the part that makes a photo usable as a record: the same walkway, thirty-five minutes apart, both fixes tied to one operation and one driver.

Where photos appear

Three places, with the customer-facing one switched off until someone switches it on.

  • PDF service proof. Photos are embedded directly in the per-operation PDF.
  • Admin operation detail. Full-size view from inside the admin area.
  • Customer portal (optional). Visibility is configured per customer — by default photos are not exposed to customers.

Retention

Photos follow the retention policy of the operation they belong to.

When an operation falls past its configured retention window and is aggregated or deleted, its photos are removed alongside the record. There is no separate photo retention to manage and no orphaned photo storage to worry about.

Photos can also be deleted individually by the admin if a particular image needs to be removed (for instance, after a privacy request). Such deletions are recorded in the operation audit log.
